Natalie A. McSwane graduated Magna Cum Laude from WMU Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2016. Prior to law school, she received a Master’s in Security Management and a Master’s in Criminal Justice with a minor in Public Administration. While attending law school, she was on the Honor Roll all 7 terms she attended and the Dean’s List for 6 terms. She served as a Grade Appeals Magistrate, participated in the Client Counseling competition and was the Resource Editor/Board Member for the Western Michigan Cooley Journal of Practical & Clinical Law.
Ms. McSwane was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico and moved to Florida in 2006. Prior to pursuing her law degree, she worked as a Deputy Sheriff, first in New Mexico and then in Pasco County Florida. These prior experiences provide her perspective and utility in the practice of law.
Ms. McSwane recently received her City, County and Local Government Board Certification from The Florida Bar. Board certification recognizes attorneys’ special knowledge, skills and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism and ethics in practice.
Ms. McSwane’s practice areas at Burke Blue include governmental law, law enforcement defense, real property law litigation, and estate planning. She currently assists the City Attorney for the City of Panama City, Nevin J. Zimmerman, and is assigned to the Panama City Police Department.
