Matt Hutt joined Burke Blue in 2023 as an associate attorney and is based out of the Panama City office location. Matt is a third generation Bay Countian and was born and raised in Panama City. He and his wife graduated from Bay High School in 2001. Matt earned his Bachelors degree in economics from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee and his Juris Doctor degree from Florida Coastal School of Law. After living and practicing law in Atlanta for 12 years, Matt and his family returned home to Panama City to enjoy the natural beauty, strong sense of community, and delicious fresh seafood.
For over a decade in Atlanta, Matt represented consumers in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy cases. Matt has helped thousands of clients obtain relief from stressful financial circumstances. Matt has also been able to gain valuable experience handing personal injury and civil litigation matters. Matt also focuses on family law representation and litigation, including dissolution of marriage, paternity, equitable distribution, custody, child support and adoptions. Matt enjoys practicing family law as it allows him to demonstrate his compassion and dedication to client’s facing some of the most difficult situations individuals can face.
Matt also has experience handling business disputes, breach of contract claims, foreclosures, foreclosure defense, creditor’s rights, and landlord-tenant issues.
Matt makes it a point to give back to the community by supporting local causes including the Bay County Conservancy and various children’s charities. In his leisure time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and friends in the woods and on the water.
